It’s been just over six months since the game was released and we’re incredibly grateful for having you sprinting alongside us! Since the release, we have focused on what we consider essential building blocks to the game, such as Elites for competitive play, Clans to create spaces for you to connect and socialize, along with big improvements to leveling up Animals and communicating in races.
Now that we've laid the game's foundational deathtraps - I mean, building blocks, we turn our attention to the future, and would like to share some thoughts on where we are and where we’re heading!
It has been a long time between updates, and we hear you! We’re thrilled about the new and exciting things we have in store for your demise - ahem - enjoyment, and we look forward to releasing fresh new updates more frequently.
Let’s dig into some details on what you can expect to see in the coming days, weeks and months!
New Powerups and Maps
Two new Powerups will be available in just a few days! We think they’re pretty cool. Literally freezing, some might say.
We have also noticed that many of you are simply too good on our current racetracks, and might be ready for new challenges. Sharpen your sawblades, you’ll be slicing and dicing in two new Forest maps that will be released in the coming weeks!
New Events
We’ve heard your feedback and concerns about earning too little coins and having a hard time progressing in the Runner Pass. In response to this, we’re introducing Events. You may have already enjoyed double tokens on weekends; We’re improving that, adding more like it - and taking it to the next level!
We’re excited to unveil a series of new events that will be taking place several times a week. These will reward Coins, Tokens, and Token Doublers!
Kicking off on May 1st, our first addition is the Challenge Event, which comes with unique challenges and Quests, bundled with special rewards.
When the Challenge Event ends, the new Coin Event goes live - sprinkling bonus coins on every race as you speed into the weekend!
Beyond this, you can expect to see a lot more events happening more frequently throughout the week and weekends. Get ready to stomp your rivals and dash through the Runner Pass for those sweet rewards!
Going forward
We’re itching to unveil new Animals, Powerups, Skins, and Accessories, along with more and new types of Events to keep those coins coming.
We also keep a close eye on the race balance, and will continuously put efforts into maintaining the balance for Animals and Powerups to keep those races fresh and fair!
Further down the line, we look forward to to roll out bone-rattling new features, as well as improving and adding on to current systems like Clans, Elites, obtaining new Powerups, and leveling up Animals.
