We are currently rolling out an update that addresses some issues we've seen after the clan update.

Clan Elite Eligibility Join Window

When players previously joined a clan all their Elite marks would be tallied toward the clans Elite ranking from the start. This provides a nice and uncomplicated experience for all players, but allows for some unwanted behavior in some cases.

In order to alleviate these behaviors we are adding a Join Window of 5 days at the start of the season where players are free to move between clans and still have their Elite marks counted toward the clans ranking. After this period, players are still allowed to move between clans, but their Elite marks won't be counted for the running season and they must wait for the next season for their marks to count.

We think this will encourage a locked in roster for most of the season while allowing for a drafting period at the start.

To allow smaller clans to grow without getting bothered by this only clans with 25 members or more will have players effected by the join window. For the current season, since this is releasing mid-season, the join window will be open until the last 5 days.

Clan Reward Claim Cooldown

The rewards in a clan have a limit to how many can be claimed within each season. For clan with many members there have been a few cases where new members have joined and claimed the precious last rewards available before members that have been with the clan for longer.

To combat this issue we are adding a reward claim cooldown for players that join large clans. New members will need to wait for 3 days before they can claim rewards. This will allow established members a better chance at claiming the rewards they have contributed towards.

Other improvements and changes

The Elite Leaderboard has gotten a changed requirement for the Top placement icons. The previous Top 10 placement icon will now be given to Top 5 only. Clans that got the Top 10 placement last season will still keep it in their clan elite history.

In addition to these changes we have made various improvements to make things look nicer and be easier to understand.
