
It's been a while since the last balance update so we're here with another. Here's what's changing this time.
Animals
Falcon
Falcon has been too powerful since she entered the races. The last update still left her in the top performing animals. We’ve seen a lot of comments about the passive being surprisingly strong. Therefore we are reducing the passive strength.
Passive
- Reduce Passive Slam Speed Bonus from 50% to 30%
Stats
- Reduced Top Speed: 17 → 16.66
Bear
Bear is a solid competitor. We’re making some slight changes here to lower his overall strength slightly, while still making him feel like a great racer.
Ability
- Add a small kick to start of ability.
Passive
- Reduce Speed Boost from Passive: 6 → 5
Stats
- Top Speed: 16.15 → 15.8
Dragon
Dragon is also ahead of the pack. We’re making some small changes to bring him back a bit.
Ability
- Increased Ability Base Charge Time: 25s → 26s
Stats
- Reduced Top Speed Slightly: 16.57 m/s → 16.52 m/s
Porcupine
Porcupine has been having a tough time since it’s introduction. It’s passive is likely a bit weaker than other animals. To combat this we’re tuning his speed stats and making the Ability a bit stronger.
Ability:
- Slightly faster kickoff with the ability. 6 → 3 frames
- Reduced base charge time: 22s → 20.60s
- Changed Aim constraints to allow for more upward direction while disallowing downward aim.
- Tweaked ability quill spray to make quills go slightly further and have better spread in most cases.
Stats:
- Increased Top Speed: 17m/s → 17.34m/s
- Increased Acceleration: 1.44s → 1.43s (0-15m/s)
Gorilla
Gorilla is starting to finds his form. We’re trying out a small boost to acceleration.
Stats
- Increased Acceleration: 1.52s → 1.51s (0-15m/s)
Bunny
Bunny is performing slightly below where we would want her to be. We’ve re-evaluated recent balance changes made to her and brought the passive closer to where it used to be.
Passive
- Increased duration of acceleration boost: 2s → 3s
- Reduced strength of acceleration boost: 65% → 50%
Chameleon
Chameleon is great! Nothing wrong with him… Except, missing with the Ability sucks! This update changes that by adding a small boost when the ability doesn’t find a target.
Ability:
- When using the ability without hitting a target, Chameleon will get a small boost.
Powerups
Bat
- Reduce force on opponents by 15%
- Increase cooldown: 13s → 13.5s
- Reduce Target Idle duration: 0.5s → 0.4s
Vortex Grasp
- Reduce force on opponents by 10%
- Increase cooldown: 13s → 13.6s
- Reduce Target Idle duration: 0.5s → 0.4s
Sonic Blast
- Reduce delay: 0.1s → 0.03s
Ice Axe
- Reduce freeze time: 3s → 2s
Freeze Spike
- Reduce freeze time: 3s → 2s
Shields
- Tweaked end animation and animation timing to make it clearer when the shield is off.
Electro Shock
- Fixed Electro Shock being able to hit players after user dies.
- Fixed Electro Shock visual not being cancelled when user dies.
